My younger daughter, known here as Kitty, recently told me of an incident that highlights the difference between the boys and girls.
Both my son, AB (for Active Boy), and Kitty take piano lessons. Recently their teacher gave AB a new piece of music and played it for him during his lesson. When we arrived back home, he asked Kitty to play the new piece for him (she’s older and a much better pianist, so it was easy for her to play). She obliged, thinking that he wanted to listen to her play it properly so he could work on making it sound the same way when he played it.
Little she knew!
When she glanced up from the music while playing, she spotted him running around the room while wearing full cowboy regalia.
The name of the piano piece?
The Wild Horseman.
He just wanted background music for his play!
